MacBook

My wonderful, though temperamental, tablet PC has finally been retired. The burning smell and melting plastic convinced me that it was time. This, of course, happened about a day before J-P asked me to write up everything I had finished up to this point. For some odd reason, Yangyang needs her computer for school work or something obscene like that, so I can't use her computer the entire time... the solution? Buy a Mac!

Macs don't melt to their powercord. Or need pieces of wood to reinforce the broken pieces of plastic.

I finished the 9 page report as quickly as I could, but it still took quite some time. This is only the theory part of the paper, and I know it's nowhere near complete; the formalisms and proofs currently are lacking, as they are mostly computational.

Where I am... Hong Kong. I'm here to relax and try to center myself... or at least get away from the extreme of stress and work that contributed so violently to my injured arms. A fraction of the irony is, of course, that I'm continuing my work here in order to support myself financially. This is a problem for two reasons:
1. I'm working on academic stuff, the same kind of stuff that led me to hurt my arms
2. I have to worry about money. I don't like worrying about money, and it's quite a strong stresser. (At least for me)

The giant benefit of being here, of course, is that I am quite removed from the culture of stress.
I also have far too many audiobooks to listen to... I love them so... they allow me to escape from my thoughts while I go for walks, do my laundry, play Capitalism II, pet my stuffed kitty Minerva... or thinking about life.
